You can access the Gitlab within the campus network. From outside the campus you will need a VPN connection <ref>[http://www.ru.nl/isc/medewerkers/externe-toegang/veilige-verbinding/@965054/vpn/ Radboud University VPN Manual]</ref>. Both the gitlab web-interface and the git server are therefore unsuitable for distribution of software or collaboration with non Radboud University people. [[Gitlab_Social_Sciences#External_Users|External Users]] will not have VPN-access and therefore cannot use these services from outside the campus network.

The Gitlab server is available for all users, from anywhere in the world, provided they have a RU or external<ref>To request an account for external users, see [[Gitlab Social Sciences#External Users]] </ref>
