iPods are used for basic video or voice recording. Because a passcode is required to access the iPod, it provides protection for privacy-sensitive data. iPods are only meant for video and audio recording as described in Usage section. It is not allowed to use iPods for personal purposes, such as emails.  iPods should never be connected to the Internet, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

The iPod touch featured a 4-inch diagonal widescreen multi-touch display with a resolution of 1136 x 640. The back-facing camera is 8 MP, capable of recording video in 1080p resolution at 25 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps, and slow-motion video in 720p at 120 fps. This camera also features auto HDR for video recordings with supported codecs HEVC and H.264. There is a Microphone placed at the back of the ipod for voice memo recordings.

1. Share your recordings to Phone Drive. Do not share them through email or AirDrop.

2. Connect the iPod to the computer with the usb cable.
Download iTunes (contact the ICT department if you have no rights to install iTunes on your work laptop). 
Start iTunes .

3. Delete the files from the "Phone Drive" app on your iPod.
 
- Open Phone Drive and navigate to the file.
 
- Swipe left on the file name.
 
- A red Delete button should appear, tap it to delete.

Connect the iPod to the computer with the usb cable.

In File Explorer, find your Apple iPod and go to: \Apple iPod\Internal Storage\DCIM
 
===Removing data===
To prevent data leaks, it is important that the data is completely removed from the iPod before the next person uses it.

====Delete Phone Drive Data====
===Observation===
The most common use of our camcorders is to record participant behavior in our labs. Be aware of your recording settings when filming many participants for many hours: the higher the resolution, framerate and bitrate, the larger the file size. Large files may take a long time to transfer and backup, and will cost the faculty a lot of server storage space when archived in Workgroup folders and Data repositories. The TSG advices the following settings for general purpose recordings for an optimal quality to file-size ratio, as well as for easy importing in any video coding software:

If you wish to record highly detailed movements, or retain more detail over larger distances, increase the resolution and bitrate. In most cameras these values are linked. Check the user manual or our quick start guide for your camera model to see how to adjust these settings.
