This page is meant as a quick reference for resetting or reassigning COM ports.
Windows
- Run CMD as Administrator.
- Enter
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 - Enter
start devmgmt.msc - Select “Show hidden devices” in the ‘view’ menu.
- Uninstall the devices currently assigned to the unused COM ports.
- To assign new COM port: Right click on device -> Properties -> Port Settings -> Advanced -> COM Port Number
